All of these kits contain high-quality OEM compatible components that are durable and are also guaranteed to function well even in the toughest conditions.  This is our most popular package and takes 2-3 weeks to complete.

Service Package

This rebuild package allows the team at Vilas Motor Works to use their extensive experience in rebuilding your short block to OEM specifications.  After a thorough inspection of all short block internal parts, each item is cleaned, machined and then rebuilt to manufactures specifications using a standard engine rebuild kit.  

Short Block Machine Service and Rebuild Package

This rebuild package allows the team at Vilas Motor Works to use their extensive experience in rebuild your engine to OEM specifications.  This rebuild package involves full cylinder head work with all internal parts being inspected, cleaned, measured and machined per OEM specifications.  This is our most thorough engine rebuild package and takes 6 months to a year to complete.

This is the most popular rebuild package that we offer at Vilas Motor Works.  Bring in your short block, main caps, crank and rods.  Our experts will thoroughly inspect all parts for wear to ensure everything is within factory specifications.  After the inspection and cleaning, we will machine all parts using our years of experience.  Even with limited engine knowledge, this package gives the DIYer fast turn-a-round service without sacrificing quality.  Let our parts experts supply you with all the engine parts needed to complete your rebuild and get your automobile, performance car, marine, or agricultural engine running again.
 

Short Block Machine Service

This rebuild machine service allows the customer to bring in their engine short block, main caps, crank and rods.  Our experts will thoroughly inspect all parts for wear to ensure everything is within factory specifications and take it to the rebuild level following OEM specifications.  Our parts experts will include all the engine parts needed to complete your rebuild and get your automobile, performance car, marine, or agricultural engine running again.  This machine service is very thorough and can take up to 6 months to complete.
  

Long Block Machine Service
and Rebuild *

This rebuild machine service allows the customer to bring in their long block minus accessories.  All parts will be inspected for wear to ensure there is no hidden or unforseen damage.  This involves the full cylinder head and short block rebuild esnsuring that all OEM specifications are followed.  Our parts experts will include all the engine parts needed to complete your rebuild and get your automobile, performance car, marine, or agricultural engine running again.  This machine service is very thorough and can take up to 6 months to a year to complete.

*It is important to note we are not able to give you an accurate estimate of rebuild and machine cost over the phone.  Engine wear will vary depending on the manner in which it was used and maintained.  There are a number of different factors that must be taken into account when performing our Short Block or Long Block Machine Service and Rebuilds.   This includes the age of the engine, its intended use, make and environmental factors.
The more accessories that are removed from the engine, the more money and time it will save you the customer.  The image to the left shows the preferred manner we wish to receive our short block or long block engine rebuild projects.  This helps our experts quickly access the engine for wear and unforeseen damage.   This will allow us to more accurately give you a cost on the rebuild services.
